Hi, my name is AGUSTIN and I’m from Victoria, Texas. My favorite classes are science and reading. I’ve always had a hard time telling the difference between fiction and nonfiction, but I know Mrs. Schauer can fix that. I love reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid books. I like to play football and basketball. My favorite game is Call of Duty Black Ops 2. I like to eat at Chucky Cheese with my cousin Mason. I have three sisters named Ana, Cece, and Ashlynn. My name is Teresa Schauer and I am the district librarian and 6th grade Reading teacher for Pettus ISD.  I have been in education for twenty-two years. I taught 6th, 7th and 8th grade Reading for two years in San Antonio, 2nd grade for nine years in Skidmore, Texas, 3rd and 4th grade for five years here in Pettus, and this is my sixth year to be the librarian.  

I have been married for twenty years to my husband Bobby, and we have two daughters--Hailee is a senior and Ashlynn is a freshman here in Pettus.  


I LOVE books. (Obviously, or I wouldn't be a librarian, right?)  :)  I have always loved books--for as long as I can remember.  I think it's because when I was little, we didn't have computers, DVD players, or even a color TV--I grew up in Illinois where it was very cold, and if I didn't want to die of boredom, the only thing there was to do was read.  I think it's so sad that so many kids today don't know the joy of getting completely lost in a book.  There is nothing in the world that gives you the same feeling as when you get so caught up in what you're reading that you literally forget about the world around you.  I think that EVERY kid has the ability to love books--and that's my goal as a librarian and Reading teacher.  I want to open the doors to their hearts--through books.  


If you walk into my library, be prepared for me to get all up in your business--not because I'm nosy--I ask so many questions because that's the only way I can get to know you.   I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that every person has a "book soul mate" that's already been written for them, just waiting to be found.  I already know my books.  How can I match you up with one, unless I know you too?  :)

Tiffany

My name is Tiffany and I am 11 years old. I like to listen to country and heavy-metal music. I want to live in Stratford, Ontario Canada when I get older. My favorite kind of meat to eat is pork. My favorite book series are: Bluford, and Cirque Du Freak. If I could have any type of pet, I would pick a horse. My favorite color is purple.   When I grow up I want to work at a Strategic Response Unit (SRU) in Canada. My favorite type of shirt to wear is U.S.P.A (polo). My favorite stores are Bealls and Wal-Mart.  My favorite sport to play is soccer. I like to watch Futbol. I also like to watch the NFL. My favorite NFL team is the Dallas Cowboys. If I watch NBA it’s the San Antonio Spurs. If it’s MLB then it would be the Astros. For NHL then I’ll go for the Maple Leafs (Canada). When I watch college football then I’ll go for the A&M Aggies. My favorite things to do on weekends are playing football with my dad and brothers, playing on my computer, and texting my friends. My favorite animated game to play on my IPod or computer is Angry Birds. I have so many games for Angry Birds. I have Angry Birds Rio also. The places I would like to visit the most are Canada, Rome, Spain, Hawaii, Florida, Connecticut, and the Fiji Islands. My favorite waters to drink are VOSS water, and Fiji water which are from the Fiji Island or Norway. My favorite kind of Quench Gatorade is Grape. The foods I like to eat are pizza, macaroni shells, baked chicken (my mom’s baked chicken), and, bar-be-cue (my dad’s bar-be-cue). I like to make my own shoes on this website that I found but I haven’t bought anything from it because it’s expensive.

My name is Jessicah and I am 11 years old. My favorite coloris light blue, I love dogs and my favorite is a Labrador.My favorite book to read isInvisible Girl by Mary Hanlon stone. Neil

I like listening to country music and playing basketball. I absolutely love Mexican food, ribs, and jerky.  My favorite places to eat are Alamo Café and Texas Roadhouse. I want to go to college at BaylorUniversity.  I don’t know what I want to major in but I want to be a basketball player. I play the trumpet in the Pettus Band…I cant wait till next year so I can hopefully get out of it. I like 67 Ford Mustangs and Ford King Ranch trucks. Myname is Kaitlyn and I’m 12 years old. My favorite book is The Summer ITurned Pretty by Jenny Han. I am 13 years old and I lived inWyoming From the time I was born.  Mom grew up in Coloradoand my dad grew up Wyoming. I have 4 cats . My first  cat  I got on my 6^th  birth day and I named her Sparky.  We found Bruce at a store and my mom’s friend gave us her cat named Snowball.  My step dad has a cat named Mama.  When I was 11 I got very sick .the doctors told me it was asthma but it turns out I was diabetic. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks and I had a very nice nurse too. My favorite food is steak and my favorite restaurant is DQ.  My favorite animal is a cat and I also have a dog named Izzy. I miss her so much and I can not wait to see her again.

Hey my name isSteven and I like to skate board a lot. I live in a children’s home where thereare way too many rules but it is way better than my real home. I have a good life—well so far. I love McDonalds, Rue 21, and Target. Myfavorite place to shop is the La Palmara Mall inCorpus Christi. I’m 11yrs old, and my talent is blogging. Besides blogging my hobbies are drawing, sports, and hanging out with my friends and I love Social Studies. I have to say my favorite book would probably be The Help and The Last Chance Texaco. The thing I love about Pettus Middle School is they know us and they understand us. My favorite colors are pink and baby blue. One day I would like to meet Lauren Myracle, Nicki Minaj, and Kathryn Stockett. I would like to become a book writer and a singer when I grow up. And when I do grow up I hope im still friends with this class. They’re not my friends they’re my family—especially Gilbert and Marisol. I am 13 years old and I am in the 6^th grade. I like to chill with my friends Blake, Steven, Marisol, Alyssa, Caroline, Noah, and a lot of others. I'm 11 years old and am a student at Pettus Junior High. I love pickles very very VERY much!!!  They're my favorite food ever!!! I live in Beeville, Texas.  I used to live in San Antonio, but then my dad got a job here as a coach so...WE MOVED!!!  My best friend is Mairsol because she is like my sister.  Makayla is also one of my best friends.  She always says "cool beans" a lot.  :)  My favorite author is Lauren Myracle.  She has written Luv Ya Bunches, Violets in Bloom, Eleven,Twelve, Thirteen, and Thirteen Plus One.  They are all great.  :)  My favorite restaurant is Alamo Cafe.  I love the cheese dip there so if you go there, I recommend you get that for an appetizer.  I love to play volleyball, softball, and to cheer.  :)   That's all about me!
